Job Overview
- Responsible for the quality and efficiency of team on site.
- Clearing of 5 to 12 acres in size, removal and salting of sites for safety and accessibility through the winter season.
- Maintain open communication with employees, operational manager, sites contacts
- Candidates must be able to operate large salt dispersal truck in tight situations to the highest level of safety
- Managing sites in a productive and thorough manner allowing access to unhindered during storms
- Perform inspections of sites after each event
- Perform call outs and pre storm calls to operators
- Perform equipment inspections
- Interact with facility onsite managers concerning scope of work details and concerns
- Manage onsite and offsite salt storage levels to ensure no lack of inventory or shortages to occur
- Assess employee performance and recommend next steps/actions when needed
- Organize basic mechanical maintenance and reporting of service issues
- Upkeep of equipment, air pressure of tires, fluid levels, greasing, fueling, washing
- Make maintenance and repair calls and assessments when needed
- Site, job and equipment to be filled with high level of detail for insurance reporting
- Provide onsite direction and training to new employees
- Maintain a neat and orderly workspace and storage area
- Check on equipment during down times to ensure proper operation
- Candidate must be available 24/7 October 1st to April 30th each season
- Long hours may be required including shifts longer than 12 hours
- Attention to details
- Ability to work alone or with a team for long hours
Required Skills
- Minimum DZ license
- 3-5 years snow removal experience
- Managerial capabilities
- Working cellular phone with data capabilities
- Reliable means of transportation to Operation Office in all weather conditions
- Physically fit
Work Schedule
- Part-time, seasonal, 20 hours per week, shift
Pay Rate
- $38/hr
