Job Overview
- Able to operate heavy equipment in busy vehicle traffic and tight situations to the highest level of safety
- Manage site in a productive and thorough manner allowing access to be unhindered during storms
- Basic mechanical maintenance and report service issues
- Upkeep equipment, tire pressure, fluid levels, greasing, fueling and washing
- Site job and equipment logs to be completed with high level of detail for insurance reporting
- Maintain a neat and orderly workspace and storage area
- Able to guide and direct other operators in a civil and efficient manner
- Check equipment on down time to ensure proper operation
- Must be available 24/7 November 1st to April 15th each season
- Long hours may be required including shifts longer than 12 hours
- Attention to details
- Ability to work alone or with a team for long hours
Required Skills
- Minimum G license
- 3-5 years snow removal experience
- 3-5 years heavy equipment experience
- Equipment certification for Wheel Loaders and Skid Steers
- Working cellular phone with data capability
- Reliable mean of Transporation to work site in all weather conditions
- Physically fit
Work Schedule
- Contract November 1st to April 15th, on call 24/7 shift work possibly exceeding 12 hrs, 15 hrs per week guaranteed
Pay Rate
- $30-$35/hr based on experience and work ethics
