Job Zone d’emploi is recruiting to fill a permanent position for an Employer Liaison/COJG Liaison-Admin who will provide employers with information on Labour Market Information and employer programs, as well as assist Employer Services personnel and Employment Consultants in the coordination of job orders. The Employer Liaison/COJG Liaison-Admin will promote the Canada Ontario Job Grant (COJG) to employers in the counties of Stormont and Dundas, as well as provide administrative support to Job Zone d’emploi staff and clients, in the Cornwall and Dundas office, as required, as well as complete reports, record minutes and track statistical data on employer activity and information.

We respond to the needs of employers by providing information on the local labour force, posting employment opportunities, as well as providing support for HR planning and recruitment.

  • Have a good understanding of the local labour market
  • Have the ability to seek responses to questions related to COJG applications
  • Have the ability to research trainers/training institutions
  • Understand the challenges facing the unemployed
  • Promote confidentiality as a norm


  • Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • Post Secondary Education in Office Admin and Marketing would be an asset
  • Marketing/sales experience
  • Possess excellent English communication skills; oral and written *French considered an asset
  • Be familiar operating general office equipment, i.e. fax, phone, photocopier, etc.
  • Possess strong computer skills; Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel
  • Possess strong data entry skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle

Working Environment

  • Job requires working in an office setting, as well as travelling to off sight locations i.e. local businesses, industries and schools within the Counties of Stormont and Dundas
  • A neat and tidy personal appearance is required; casual business attire. Safety equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs and safety boots) will be provided and must be worn on construction sites
  • Thirty five hour work week; Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime in the early morning or evenings
  • Use of office equipment required: cell phone, photocopier, fax, computers, software specific to programs
