Topline Trailer & Equipment Sales, a division of Weagant Farm Supplies, believes in providing a friendly, excellent first experience for both long time and prospective customers: online, on the phone and in person.

The Receptionist reports to the Store Manager/Owner and supports the sales administrator. They offer industry leading service through strong organization, communication and business skills. They handle situations tactfully and politely because the image of the company is directly impacted by the employee.

This position would start early-to-mid July 2024 and end August 2025 to cover a maternity leave. It could be a great opportunity for a student considering a gap year to save money for post-secondary education.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Answer the majority of all phone calls, screening and directing calls as appropriate
  • Take and relay accurate and detailed messages
  • Provide information to callers, and those requesting information by email
  • Greet and direct customers and/or visitors to the appropriate staff member
  • Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the dealership
  • Prepare bi-monthly mail outs of customer invoices
  • Create stock/tag/unit numbers & attach tags to machinery, verifying stock & serial numbers
  • Accept and record payments from customers for parts, service and sales
  • Perform end-of-day duties (cash out, close credit card terminals, balance & post payments)
  • Ensure customer information is correct in the software system
  • Help with maintaining the website through regular inventory updates
  • Trailer licensing, with training
  • Social media planning and posts
  • Assist with the coordination of events
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area so it is presentable at all times
  • Drive locally to run errands as required


  • Principle work station is indoors although outdoor work is required for tagging machinery
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time, with regularly scheduled breaks. Is able to stand and move around but must be close to phone in order to answer it promptly.
  • Staff are expected to maintain a neat and clean appearance, with business casual attire.


  • Solid computer skills with excellent attention to detail: Google Suite, MS Office, Outlook & our software
  • Completion of high school/GED is required, college diploma preferred
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
  • Excellent and professional communication skills: in person, on the phone and via email
  • Ability to work independently but within a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license

Hours of Work:

8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday and 8:00am – 12:00pm, every other Saturday
