Job Overview – Description and Details
Warehouse Order Pickers (day shift 7:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday).
This seasonal contract position (6 months) entails gathering materials from the warehouse floor and separating as per job, compare material with job lines and prepare packing slips, prepares material for the crating department, maintains a clean and safe work environment and is great with attention to details under extreme deadlines.
Required Skills
- Gather material from warehouse for specific jobs, separate and prepare appropriately as per job requirements
- Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves
- Compare material with job lines to ensure no discrepancy or error
- Prepare material to be crated or packaged as requested
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork (picking sheets, crate sheet)
- Operate forklift to move material as necessary
- Follow all health and safety protocols
- Inform management/purchasers of any discrepancies
- Communicate effectively and work closely with the Crating Department to ensure all material is measured and packaged correctly, with minimal air space
